ORIGIN STORY: Riunggunung Estate is run by Wildan Mustofa and Atieq Mustikaningtyas. You might recognize their names from our previous Frinsa Collective experimental lots. This year’s harvest comes from the estate’s highest hills, where thanks to precariously cold nights, the best coffee plants flourish. We went with a classic washed given Shady Lane’s riff on coffee history because it is a very fun take the oldest blend: the ‘moka java’.
FLAVOUR: People have been drinking bitter dark roasts for over two centuries and it seems careless to ignore history. While Shady Lane is certainly not dark, it is a new way of roasting designed for mild acidity. Expect deep chocolate over papaya, pineapple and toffee in the cup!
