ORIGIN STORY:
Since 2012, Ismael Hassen Aredo & his family have owns and operated Kayon Mountain Farm. This area spans the boarders of Taro and Sweana, two villages historically known for mining activities. As the farm expanded, it has led to the establishment of many permanent and seasonal jobs that offer free transportation, financial aid for community schools, and wages that surpass those earned in the mine. Additionally, Kayon is committed to strong environmental initiatives, including the safeguarding of indigenous trees and the use of compost for fertilization.
THE FLAVOURS:
Kayon regularly showcases flavors of blackberry, blueberry, raspberry, and strawberry, all anchored by a strong citrus backdrop and subtle floral undertones of rose. This profile radiates a vibrant, sun-drenched character, displaying a rich sweetness that recalls stone fruits, ultimately leading to a creamy custardy conclusion.
