Last Splash is our bright washed filter coffee — clean, vivid, and built for clarity. This edition comes from Kiamugumo in Kirinyaga, Kenya, and it carries exactly the kind of fruit intensity that makes Kenyan coffee feel electric in the cup.

Kiamugumo Factory is part of the New Ngariama Farmer Cooperative Society, which owns and operates three factories in Kenya. The station is relatively young, built in 2017, and now supports a membership of roughly 2,200 farmers in the Ngariama community on the slopes of Mount Kenya.

The cup opens with saturated dark fruit: blackberry, red grape, and a bright peach Snapple sweetness. There is a juicy snap to the acidity, but the structure stays clean and composed. It is vivid, refreshing, and beautifully direct — a classic Last Splash profile.

PROCESSING METHOD

FULLY WASHED

In a fully washed process, the coffee cherry is depulped so the outer fruit is removed before fermentation and washing. This reduces the influence of extended fruit contact and allows the coffee’s cultivar character, growing conditions, and processing clarity to come forward more directly.

For Last Splash, the washed process keeps the profile clean and articulate. It lets the blackberry, grape, and peach-like sweetness shine without muddying the finish or covering the coffee’s bright structure.

In the cup, this means blackberry, red grape, peach Snapple, clean citrus lift, and a juicy finish — bright, vivid, and refreshing.
