BEANOGRAPHY

Magnolia moves into a new Ethiopian chapter with Duromina — a coffee built around floral lift, ripe fruit, and bright espresso elegance.

The cup opens with jasmine, peach cobbler, and Tang, then moves through honeysuckle, stone fruit, cooked orange, citrus sparkle, and caramel sweetness. It is bright, but not sharp. Floral, but not fragile. Sweet, but still precise.

As espresso, Magnolia is for customers who want more lift and colour in the cup: a modern espresso profile with fruit, florals, and a clean finish. It brings the feeling of a bloom opening — delicate, vivid, and full of motion.

PROCESSING METHOD

Fully Washed

In a washed process, the coffee cherry is depulped so the outer fruit is removed before fermentation and washing. This reduces the influence of extended fruit contact and allows the seed’s own structure, cultivar character, and terroir-driven compounds to come forward with greater clarity.

For Magnolia, the washed process helps preserve floral aromatics, citrus brightness, and a clean, articulate sweetness. Expect a cup with jasmine-like lift, stone fruit clarity, and a bright finish.

Duromina

Duromina is connected to the Agaro cooperative network in Ethiopia, a region whose coffees have earned recognition for clarity, sweetness, and floral complexity.

The name Duromina is often translated as “improve our lives,” a meaning that sits beautifully inside the cup. The coffee reflects the strength of Ethiopian smallholder production when quality, separation, and labour are properly recognized.
