ORIGIN STORY: Allie & Lennie is the espresso of warm memories. Our current lot comes from Marcelo Assis, a multi‑generational farmer and agricultural technician who co‑founded Bioma Café, a project that now manages 229 acres across six plots . In 2024 he swept Brazil’s Cup of Excellence — 2nd in washed, 8th in natural and 1st in experimental . Bioma’s motto, “coffee for a better future,” guides every decision: they employ 22 full‑time and 25 seasonal workers and continue to invest in post‑harvest infrastructure, quality mapping and digital traceability . This is our first harvest with Marcelo and our sixth year working with importer Aequitas, whose mandate is to foster equitable and transparent relationships .
THE FLAVOURS: Imagine your grandmother’s kitchen: hazelnut butter and candied pecans on the counter, saskatoon pie cooling by the window. Allie & Lennie opens with creamy, sweet nuttiness, touches of blood‑orange and brown sugar, then melts into honeyed cooked apple, caramel and toffee . It’s like a tray of baked goods jammed into the cup!
